Blu-ray screen captures of Goran in season 3 of Vikings: Valhalla have been added! HUGE thank you to my sister, Mèimei, for getting me the blu-ray discs of this season so I could get it capped ♥
If you thought Goran would slow down after performing in Ekvinocijo, you were wrong. Goran made an appearance at the Brač Film Festival, gave the opening speech (and did a panel) at the Croatian International Film Festival, and then popped up again (much to our delight) at Glumci u Zagvozdu(Actors In Zagvozd) the following day. The "news" coming in on my daily Goran email notifications has slowed down, and it's nice to have room to take a breath, but like me, I'm sure we're all anticipating whatever Goran is up to next - as well as wish him a relaxing, and well-deserved vacation. Thank you for such an exciting Summer 2024, Goran! ♥
A HUGE thank you to my sister, Mèimei, for editing out the Goran section of the near two-hour audio file of the Dubrovnik Radio show Igrama u pohode after I had listened to it to find the start and finish time codes. I wouldn't have been able to get this interview up without you! ♥ I added this interview to my YouTube channel, and linked it on GVA in the Press section.
So... I decided that I am going to try to get all Goran movies and shorts onto the site before I tackle finishing screen captures for all ER episodes Goran starred in. I do have season 6 and season 7 fully capped of that show, and once I get through all the movie and short videos that I have, I'll 100% focus on completing the ER Gallery (as well as try to keep up with whatever new projects Goran is involved in). That said... I capped a few old videos, and oh, how I wish we could get these in good quality (so, again, please forgive the blotchy quality, the video sources are so far from being HD <--- even if they downloaded in "1080p"). New to the Short Films gallery: New York, I Love You: Apocrypha, UNKLE's Burn My Shadow, and The Making of UNKLE's Burn My Shadow.
And then (finally!) HD screen caps of Goran's scene in the 1997 movie, Peacemaker. And also, HD screen captures from a short piece HRT did about Goran back in June 2019 while he was in Šibenik filming General <--- well... if not there filming it, HRT reported on him filming there in the video.
Awwww! ♥♥♥♥♥ I am so happy for Goran for all the hard work he's put in these last couple of months. From the Verne presentation video, preparation and rehearsals for Ekvinocijo, interviews, photoshoots (love the newest one he did with Zrinka Cvitešić), five live performances of Ekvinocijo, and he's still not done because later this week he will help open the first ever Croatian International Film Festival AND participate in the festival's Actors On Acting panel on 9 August.
It has been hectic keeping up with Goran since his arrival in Dubrovnik at the beginning of June, but it has been wonderful to get so much new content every week. I look forward to whatever he does next. And in the meantime, I will be working on adding some old (but new to GVA) content: screen captures, editorial images, photoshoots, upgrading screen captures to 1080p, etc.
In other news... 1) I found all previous site updates from 2020 to present and have organized the Update Archive by year. I still haven't found my 2019 updates, and I'm hoping I didn't permanently delete them. LOL 2) I replaced the link to Team Garcy in the nagivation bar, and added links to the Goran Višnjić ArchiveFacebook page, YouTube channel, and my BattleshipGarcy Instagram account <--- where I always post updates to GVA, as well as photos of Goran (or his characters), my fanart, and my color edits (99.999999999999% of which the subject is Goran) ♥ I hope to see you there.

Goran and Zrinka visited the Marangun Food & Bar Room restaurant in Dubrovnik while they were there for the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. And... The Moustache is gone! And I think we all kind of miss it ♥ But perhaps this is an opportunity for a 2024 edition of The SCRUFF Era? *fingers crossed* <--- although, I do love that clean-shaved look, too. As with other images, I have used Photoshop to remove text. I didn't need to enhance/clean the images this time around since they looked not-blotchy as is. Just a heads up that today I saw a trailer for Spellbound (Netflix) while watching the 2024 Paris Olympics on NBC. A month or so ago, Spellbound was showing on Goran's IMDb page for him as "video reference." It has since been removed, and I cannot find any additional information that he's involved. I checked the IMDb page for Spellbound for Goran in the Cast & Crew, and he's not listed.

ER alum, Shane West met up with Goran in Dubrovnik on the last day of Ekvinocijo's run (and we're all wondering if Shane was able to attend that final performance...).
While adding this, I realised that it has been a (long) while since I updated the Social Media section of the GVA gallery. Once things slow down with Goran (we still have next month's Croatian International Film Festival to look forward to), I'll do my best to get the 2022, 2023, and 2024 sections of the social media gallery updated. I have the images, but life got in the way of me being able to keep up <--- and let me tell you, keeping up with Goran these past two months have been exhausting.
That said... there are photos up on the 2022 Social Media page. I just can't remember if all of Goran's Instagram photos have been added to it. I'll have to go through my Goran photo collection to see if there are more to add.
Photos from the 31 July final bow of Ekvinocijo. I miscounted the total production stills for this play in a previous update, with these three images, the total production still count on GVA is 128 (and I'm still keeping my eye out for anything new - even though it's over).
So... are you craving more Baby Goran? Yes? Well, I've just added 628 screen captures of Goran in the 1992 student film that he starred in, Paranoia. Unless my memory is failing me, this might be the earliest version of The SCRUFF that we can enjoy ♥ Goran is either 19 or 20 years old in this (depending on when it was filmed, which I'm not sure if we know). Please note: the video source for this is not good. Close up shots are better than the medium and long shots <--- which tend to be quite blurry in the caps. Happy August! There's a new POTM ♥ I took the original magazine scan into Photoshop and cleaned it up, enlarged it, and did a color edit on it since the original scan was not that great. I hope you enjoy my edit of the image (which I think is from the early 2000s).

I've added 75 production stills from the Ekvinocijo premiere to the Ekvinocijo page in the gallery. And for those of you who are learning the Croatian language, I have uploaded a PDF of the Ekvinocijo script to GVA for you to read and/or use to enhance your Croatian vocabulary.
Screen captures for Posljednja Volja have been added (as well as six GIFs that I made of just two exceptional Goran moments in the movie - dressing/undressing, and that smile with The SCRUFF ♥). The screen captures aren't great quality (they come from a not-so-great quality region 2 DVD). But still... BEPO!
Screen captures for Braća Po Materi have also been added. What can I say? I did caps of Baby Goran in 1994, and I caught the Baby Goran bug, and will work on some other early Goran works in the coming month. As you know, Goran is only in this one short scene in this movie, and the quality of video available to watch isn't great. But as dedicated Tree Huggers, we'll take what we can, right?
And since I wound up with a mild migraine today, I didn't feel up to going through 100 photos saved from the Ekvinocijo premiere and after party, so I instead made some screen captures from a couple videos that I've been meaning to screen cap for a while now. I think you'll enjoy them.

Screen captures (1080p) of Goran performing in the premiere of Ekvinocijo from a video shared by the @dubrovnikfestival on Instagram, as well as caps from an interview Goran gave after the premiere, have been added to the gallery. I have about 100 photographs from the premiere performance to go through to remove duplicates, and find the highest possible quality images available before I can upload those to GVA. I hope to get those up by tomorrow, if not, then sometime the first week of August.
For those of you in Croatia this September (exact date not yet given), Goran has done the voiceover for the character Orion Pax/Optimus Prime in the animated film, Transformers: Početak. Read about it in Croatian at sibenik.i, and I used Google Translate to bring the relevant information to you below:

Photos from the 26 July press screening performance of Ekvinocijo at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. I do have more photos from the premiere, and its after party, but I still need to go through them all to eliminate duplicates, and to find the highest quality images before I add them to GVA.

Anyway, I have another hour long video to comb through to put clips of Goran together. I may or may not do that tonight, or this week. We'll see how my patience is with video editing with super slow internet (I miss Google Fiber, omg, you have no idea).

The premiere of Ekvinocijo is this Saturday, 27 July, at 21:30 local time (Dubrovnik, Croatia). Here's hoping that the Dubrovnik Summer Festival Instagram and YouTube accounts share plenty of Ekvinocijo content for those of us Tree Huggers who cannot attend (or who missed out on getting tickets before they sold out). Practical Magic 2?
Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock have been confirmed to star in a sequel to Practical Magic. There's no word yet if Goran might be back to revive Jimmy Angelov (again - haha!) in the sequel. But I will do my best to keep an eye out for any news. I'm doubtful that we'll see Goran reprise this role considering what happened to Jimmy in the first movie, but... you never know. Regarding future updates about this project - I won't cover Practical Magic 2 updates unless it breaks that Goran will reprise his role.

First off (before all the excited screaming, and flailing), Goran has been invited to give the opening speech at this year's premiere Croatian International Film Festival which will be held in Šibenik, Croatia on 8 August 2024 at Trg Republike Hrvatske (which is the square opposite of the St. James Cathedral). The festival will take place from the 8th until the 11th of that month. I think - if Goran is used well and given a good amount of screen time (because let's face it, six months into 2024, I think we're all clammoring for any small tidbit of Goran that we can get LOL) - that this is going to be effing awesome!
I mean, seriously... an entire TV series about Erik The Red would be welcome at this point if we got 45 minute to 1 hour episodes featuring Goran in almost every scene. Am I a greedy little Tree Hugger? Yes. Yes, I am.

Goran was spotted on the streets of Zagreb (I'm assuming not far from the HNK - Hrvatsko narodno kazalište/Croatian National Theatre - where it looks like preparation for Ekvinocijo is taking place ahead of next month's Dubrovnik Summer Festival. These images are permanently archived on GVA in the Miscellaneous section of the site.
Just a little note to let you know that my life has been super crazy and unpredictable this year, and it about to get even more so. I'm trying to keep up-to-date with Goran, and have so many updates in line for the site - which includes finishing the HD screen captures of Goran in his episodes of ER, and of course, many other screen caps, event photos, adding videos to the GVA YouTube Channel, and (what I've been meaning to update for over a year) social media images Goran has shared on his Instagram. The latest staging of Vojnović's Equinox, directed by Krešimir Dolenčić, follows at the hitherto unexplored festival location, Posat, while our biggest acting stars today, Goran Višnjić and Zrinka Cvitešić, lead the Festival Drama Ensemble alongside national drama champion Olivera Baljak. The premiere is on July 27 at 9:30 p.m.

19 March 2024 Goran Višnjić Headlines Premieres at 75th Dubrovnik Summer Festival
The 75th Dubrovnik Summer Festival brings eight different dramatic titles, with its rich premiere program highlighting strong and well-known acting names in the city.
At the very beginning of this exciting festival summer, the audience's favorite, "Kafetarija" by Carlo Goldoni, directed by Paolo Tišljarić, will have its premiere. The acting ensemble of the Marin Držić Theater is led by Hrvoje Sebastijan and guest Marijan Nejašmić Banić in the roles of Gospodin Fran and Lukša.
The latest performance of Vojnović's "Ekvinocija" will be directed by Krešimir Dolenčić at a previously unexplored festival location, Posat. Meanwhile, our greatest acting stars today, Goran Višnjić and Zrinka Cvitešić, lead the Festival Drama Ensemble alongside the national drama champion Olivera Baljak.
The rich drama program will be rounded off with Shakespeare's "The Tempest," the third and final premiere title, directed by Slovenian director Vito Taufer. Alongside the popular Luka Peroš in the role of Prospero, some of the leading names in Croatian theater such as Dušan Gojić, Siniša Ružić, Fran Dijak, Filip Šovagović, and others will stand, bringing a vision of a new era, a future that Shakespeare believes awaits the world, in the specific ambience of Lokrum Island.
Tickets for all premieres, as well as for nearly 60 other music, ballet, folklore, and other programs of the 75th Dubrovnik Summer Festival, are already available for purchase online on the festival's website www.dubrovnik-festival.hr and through the service www.ulaznice.hr. Starting from Monday, April 8th, tickets, as well as festival souvenirs, will be available for purchase locally at the box office on the ground floor of the Festival Palace at Od Sigurate 1, which will be open every working day from 10:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
According to this page, it looks like Goran will be portraying Niko Marinović in Ivo Vojnović's Ekvinocijo (English: Equinox) at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival. The play will be directed by Krešimir Dolenčić, and will be performed at Posat (a new location for the festival).
Establishing a balance between the melodramatic and the crude, the sentimental and the cynical, Equinox skilfully combines the past of individuals with the present of the collective, their memories with premonitions of the future.
One can only hope that a YouTube video of this production will be made available to those of us who are unable to, or cannot afford to travel over to Dubrovnik this summer to support Goran in this role.
And then this Saturday, 13 April, is the March for Animals in Zagreb, Croatia. Today, Goran shared a video showing his support for this cause in his Instagram stories. But there's no word on whether or not he will be in attendance.
I love that he is sporting his Dracula (The Brides) look in the video he shared for this event. And it's making one wonder if The Brides is getting another chance (please note: it probably isn't, this is just my own wishful thinking), or if he's got something else up his sleeve <--- or does this Dracula look have to do with his role in Equinox at the Dubrovnik Summer Festival?

The March for Animals, organized by Friends of Animals and the Victory Association, will start on April 13, 2024 at 11 a.m. from Zagreb's King Tomislav Square. The participants of the March for Animals will be the voice of all oppressed and invisible beings who share this world with us. According to the organizers, these are animals that are killed in the food industry, that we carry on us, use in experiments or for vain entertainment, that we abuse and abandon, even though we are aware of their suffering.
And the actor Goran Višnjić in an emotional video invited everyone to join the loud crowd: "Animals don't have their own voice - we are the ones who have to stand up for them, who have to say something for them." "We all need to stand up for this", is the message of Friends of Animals: "Croatia needs changes in legislation and the establishment of an inspection for animal protection." Croatia needs improvement of the Animal Protection Act, as well as regulation of the keeping of exotic animals. In addition to the above, the ban on log pulling competitions and the ban on keeping dogs on a chain are just some of the changes that are necessary. There are many reasons to come to the March for Animals and everyone can find their own!”
The Victory Association reminds us how much power is in our hands (and voices) and how important it is to fight on their behalf: "There is so much we can do and every step forward is a significant step for animals." I'm cleaning up my laptop files, and came across screen captures that were ready to go up on the site, but that I had accidentally dropped into a 'music' folder, only to be discovered now. Ugh. I swear, my computer files are a mess (and they're more organized on my laptop than they are on my 5TB external drive that holds almost all of my Goran (and Timeless) image files (which is just over 2 million images) that I intend on getting archived here, and on my two Timleless fansites (Team Garcy & The Timeless Fansite). Anyway, I uploaded 1,138 HD* screen captures from Goran's 2022 Facebook interview with American Corner Zagreb.
* "HD" because while the original video file is in 1080p, the quality of the Zoom video isn't that great, but still this is Goran's "Bedhead" interview, and he lives up to one of his nicknames: The Human Emoji and/or Emoji Man. I think my bulk image converter/renaming software messed up the chronological order of the caps when it did the renaming though as his waving goodbye is around the middle of the caps instead of near the end. I have no idea why/how that happened, it's been so long since I put them together LOL

I screen shot, and then did a HUGE cleanup of this Ekran magazine cover. So far, it looks like it's only available to purchase as a digital copy. I haven't had any luck finding it as a physical copy (yet <--- I hope one day it'll show up to buy... *fingers crossed*). You'll be able to find this image in the scans section of the site after it disappears from the updates.
I also got my hands on an actual HQ episodic still of Goran in an episode of Vikings: Valhalla.
Anyway... I've still got loads of screen captures that I need to upload to the site. My 2024 has not been great, but I'm hoping to get some caps up as soon as I can. Including better (larger) quality screen caps of Goran in Spartacus.
